The Nexus Center Office of Community and Civic Engagement, in partnership with the
FSC Food Pantry and the Office of Sustainability, will host the 2025 FSC Day of Service during National Volunteer Month on Earth Day, April 22, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Campus Center.
Building on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and uniting Earth

power of civic engagement, community partnerships, and innovative change in shaping
a more sustainable future. Through volunteerism, collaborative problem-solving, and
responsible management, FSC continues its commitment to addressing food insecurity,
nurturing sustainable practices, and building stronger, more resilient communities
on Long Island.
Highlights of the day include the Community Service Awards Ceremony; keynote speaker
Randi Shubin Dresner, CEO of Island Harvest; packing of food and toiletry kits to
benefit students, local families, and a variety of Long Island charitable organizations;
and learning the power of community-based partnerships.
