Immigration Law Workshop
Sent on behalf of Associate Provost Christopher Malone
Farmingdale State College is proud to partner with the Tortora Sillcox Family Foundation
(Sillcox Scholars Program) to offer an immigration information session for student-facing faculty and staff. As a reminder, the session will take place on
Thursday, October 12 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Ballroom. This workshop will provide an overview of immigration
law, the agencies and roles involved in the immigration process, the various potential
pathways to citizenship, and a Q&A period. Participants will have the opportunity
to gain valuable student support tools and contacts at respected, local non-profit
legal service organizations.
Representatives from the following immigration advocate organizations will be in attendance:
Collectively, these non-profits have dozens of highly qualified attorneys specializing
in immigration, and they cross-collaborate to develop appropriate strategies for their
clients. In the past six years, more than 100 Sillcox Scholars have utilized their
skills and services.
Special thanks to Mark and Leslie Sillcox for making this event possible, and for
their unwavering support for Farmingdale State College and the Sillcox Scholars.
