Call for Nominations—2027 Honorary Doctorate Degree

As the semester winds down and we begin to anticipate commencement, we are reminded that FSC has an exciting opportunity to award an exceptional individual an honorary doctorate degree from the State University of New York.

Honorary doctorate degrees are awarded to recognize excellence in the fields of the degrees authorized at SUNY campuses as well as business, philanthropy, public affairs, and public service which exemplify SUNY's mission. Nominees should be both relevant and appropriate to FSC and have a connection with SUNY as a whole.
Please keep in mind that current SUNY faculty and administrative staff, individuals who have already received a SUNY honorary degree, and current holders or candidates of New York elective public office are not eligible for an honorary degree.

Given the timeline and procedures outlined by SUNY, and to ensure that the campus community has adequate time to consider and submit a nomination, we are reaching out to invite your nominations for a 2027 Honorary Doctorate Degree recipient via this form.

In addition to myself and Co-chair Lukas Miedreich, the committee that will review the nominations, make recommendations to the president, and ultimately to SUNY includes:
