Dear Colleagues,

It is with great sadness that I write to extend our sympathy to Nicole Miller, in the Office of Marketing and Communications, whose mother, Christine (Chris) Dose, passed away on February 8 after a prolonged illness.

Chris was a member of the Farmingdale community for nearly 50 years. She began her career at FSC in 1970 as an entry-level administrative employee and was promoted several times, ultimately reaching the title of Administrative Assistant 2. She served in several areas of the College, including Financial Aid, Administration & Finance, the Provost's office, Student Affairs, and Professional Communications. While in Student Affairs, Chris received the 2012 Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Classified Service.

A funeral mass will be held this Saturday, February 24, at 9:30 a.m. at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, 2 Indian Head Rd., Commack, N.Y. 

In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe page has been established in Chris' memory to benefit the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition.

Our thoughts are with Nicole, her family, and their many friends at this difficult time.
