Building Temperatures and Infrastructure
To Faculty and Staff:
As we transition into the colder months and begin switching our campus buildings from
air conditioning to heating, we face a number of operational challenges. The seasonal
changeover from chilled air to steam heat is a complex process that requires careful
coordination, manual system adjustments, and ongoing monitoring.
Our dedicated Facilities Operations team works around the clock to manage this transition
and minimize disruptions to campus activities. Their efforts are critical to keeping
our classrooms, offices, labs, and other facilities as comfortable and functional
as possible.
We recognize that some areas may experience periods of discomfort during the seasonal
changeover. Facilities will continue to monitor weather conditions and make adjustments
as needed to maintain comfortable indoor environments throughout the campus. If you
experience a heating or cooling issue, please submit a work order using the Farmingdale State College Work Order System.
As we continue to modernize our facilities, we ask for your patience and cooperation
as our Facilities Operations team balances routine maintenance, service requests,
and critical infrastructure repairs during this busy seasonal transition.
Thank you for your continued support.
