Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend

To Faculty and Staff:

Thanksgiving is fast approaching and, as has been the practice, we would like to use this opportunity to conserve energy by essentially closing down campus operations for the long weekend.

Nearly all campus buildings will be closed and temperatures in these buildings reduced. Therefore, we request that classified (CSEA, PEF) employees, excluding Facilities Operations staff and University Police deemed necessary by their supervisors, take the day after Thanksgiving off and charge it to appropriate leave time (vacation, personal, or compensatory time). This is also asked of Management/Confidential employees.

Your participation in this effort is voluntary. Employees who wish to work on Friday, November 28, should obtain approval from their supervisor to work remotely.

UUP employees will observe Election Day on the day after Thanksgiving and should charge the day as a floating holiday in the Time and Attendance System.
