Electrical and Water System Maintenance this Friday
To the Campus Community:
On Friday, March 21, between 5:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., the College will be conducting critical maintenance on its high-voltage electrical
infrastructure. This work is essential to ensure the continued reliability and safety
of our electrical system.
During this period, buildings will have no electrical power. We recommend that you take the following precautions to prevent data loss and equipment
issues:
- Ensure all work is saved prior to the shutdown.
- Back up important data.
- Shutdown your computer before leaving for the day on Thursday, March 20.
- Notify your supervisor if you anticipate any operational challenges.
In addition, on Friday, March 21, between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Memorial Hall will have no hot or cold water due to the installation of new valves on the building’s water system. Staff located
in Memorial Hall may wish to coordinate with their supervisors to work remotely. Those
working in the building that day should utilize bathroom facilities in the surrounding
buildings.
Should you encounter any unexpected issues or have specific concerns, please contact
the Facilities Operations team at ext. 2017.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete this necessary maintenance.
