Holiday Donation Fair & The Bridges Program Day of Service

Farmingdale State College’s Office of Community and Civic Engagement, in partnership with the Long Island Volunteer Center and The Bridges Program, will host an in-person Holiday Donation Fair & Day of Service on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. (setup at 9:30 a.m.). The Bridges Program, a partnership between Oceanside and Uniondale School Districts focused on leadership and community service, will bring 60 high school students to FSC for a holiday Day of Service. As part of their “Year of Giving,” students will volunteer from 9:30 a.m.–1 p.m. to learn what it means to build and strengthen community across Long Island. 

Local nonprofits will table in the Campus Center lobby from 10:30am to 1pm to collect donations and share volunteer opportunities ranging from working with youth, seniors, animals, and museums to supporting shelters, soup kitchens, advocacy groups, and environmental initiatives. Drop off donations to the confirmed community organizations with donation tables on 12/5 are:

Donation collection boxes will be placed in the Greenley Library lobby from November 24 to December 4 for anyone who cannot drop off their items during the December 5 Holiday Donation Drive.

External organizations who will be dropping off donations at the campus center lobby on December 5th are: Farmingdale Rotary Club, FBI NY Citizen Academy Alumni Association (FBINYCAAA), Long Island Volunteer Center, Lotus Fitness, Uniondale Mineola-Garden City Rotary Club.
