Questions and Answers

A. If you did not file by the deadline of Thursday, November 9, 2017, you will have to wait for the May ceremony.

A. The Winter Commencement ceremony is meant for those students who filed the intent to graduate form during the fall semester. Their names will be included in the ceremony brochure.

A. Yes, you must have a cap and gown to participate. Caps and gowns will be available for purchase at the bookstore on Monday, November 27th and later

A. Students who did not obtain tickets at the Winter Commencement Fair (December 5th, 2017), are invited to pick up their tickets at the Office of the Dean of Students (Laffin 314) starting on Monday, December 11th, 2017 and continuing through Friday, December 15th. Ticket distribution hours that week are 10am-4pm. Students can receive 4 tickets by presenting a valid form of photo ID, such as a RAM ID or driver's license. Tickets WILL NOT be given to students lacking proper ID.

A. The number of tickets that will be distributed is determined by the room capacity of Nold Hall as well as by the number of students who have filed intent to graduate forms and indicate that they will attend the ceremony. In past years, due to the very nature of the Winter Commencement, almost all students have been able to obtain many extra tickets. Students can request extra tickets when they obtain their initial 4. A determination about extra tickets will be made in January. Students are advised to check their campus email.

A. The Winter Commencement ceremony usually takes about one and a half hours to two hours. The length is usually influenced by the number of students attending the graduation.

A. Yes, your picture will be taken by a professional photographer and will be available for purchase in late January.

A. The snow date is Wednesday, January 24, 2017 at the same times for the rehearsal and ceremony. Please check the College's home page on the web for any emergency closings or instructions in the event of bad weather.

A. A coat room will be available for students only.

A. Due to space limitations, those attending Winter Commencement may NOT attend Spring Commencement.
