College Entrepreneurs Compete for Cash for their Companies

Student entrepreneurs from five LI colleges will go head-to-head April 12 at the annual Long Island Business Plan Competition, to be held 5:30 – 8 p.m. at Bridgeworks in Long Beach.

Three teams each from Farmingdale State College, Hofstra, NYIT, Stony Brook and Old Westbury will compete for cash prizes up to $2,500. Three winning teams will then head to Albany, April 27, at SUNY Polytechnic Institute. The Business Plan Competition encourages students to think like entrepreneurs and provides them with tools and resources to develop their prospective businesses.
