Looking to assist undergraduates displaced by this week’s closing of Dowling College, Farmingdale State College has extended its deadline for applications by transfer students until next week.
Newly scheduled Transfer Information Sessions will be held on Tuesday, June 7 and Thursday, June 9 at 2 p.m. in the Roosevelt Hall Tour Room. Space is limited; students may register in advance at farmingdale.edu/fsc-transfer.
Transfer candidates attending the sessions can expect the following:
- An overview of the college and a campus tour
- Reviews of the admissions and transfer-credit evaluation processes
- A review of high school and college transcripts. Official transcripts are required prior to August 1 for full acceptance and transfer-credit evaluation.
- Admissions decisions may be made at the information session. If so, acceptance letters and registration will be delayed pending completed applications.
Students must have maintained a minimum 2.5 GPA at their last academic institution to be considered. Program sessions currently at capacity include Nursing, Dental Hygiene and Applied Psychology.
