Farmingdale State College ranks #46 among 500 U.S. academic institutions in Parent PLUS Loan debt, according to LendEDU's annual report that evaluates more than 1,000 U.S. colleges and universities to determine which schools limit the amount of student loan debt taken on by parents.

Amanda Nguyen - president and founder of Rise, a millennial-driven civil rights group that was a precursor to the #MeToo movement - is coming to Farmingdale State College to share her story as a sexual assault victim, and provide insight into the federal Sexual Assault Survivors' Bill of Rights she helped draft.

Farmingdale State College has received a $790K grant from New York State as part of its initiative to train more clean-energy workers as part of Governor Andrew Cuomo's Climate Jobs NY. The grant is the largest awarded to any SUNY school in the program.

7/19/2018 Reversing Long Island's Brain Drain 2018: Vast Majority of Farmingdale State College Alumni Employed Within Six Months of Graduation
Farmingdale State College's most recent survey of alumni reveals that 90% of baccalaureate degree recipients are employed within six months of graduation. Of that group, 75% are working full-time and 81% are working on Long Island and in Metro New York. Seventy-seven percent are employed at a position related to their degree.
