Honey From Sustainable Garden On Sale

WHAT:                  Harvest Festival at Farmingdale State College

WHEN:                  Saturday, 10/20 ~ 10 am-1 pm

DETAILS:              The 2012 Harvest Festival will feature the launch of the Sustainable Garden’s very own honey. Derived from hives located within the Sustainable Garden, the honey has been harvested by FSC student and head beekeeper Joan Mahoney who will be at the festival to meet and talk with anyone interested in learning more about beekeeping and how honey is extracted. The College will also sell other items grown within the Sustainable Garden as well as items grown locally.

Sustainability can be defined as land practices that meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
