Farmingdale State College Spring 2011 Open House

Thousands of students and their families are expected to attend

March 10, 2011

Farmingdale State College will hold its Spring 2011 Open House on Saturday, April 9 from 10AM-noon in Nold Hall.

Open House provides an exceptional opportunity to meet professors and counselors and to see the campus via a student-led campus tour of the 380-acre campus (please allow an hour) including residence halls. Farmingdale has been named as the 5th safest campus in the nation, based on a statistical analysis conducted by the online publication The Daily Beast.  Shuttles to the Aviation Center at Republic Airport will be offered and two new Piper Warrior planes will be on display.

Staff from athletics, admissions, financial aid, housing, and the health and wellness center will be available to answer questions.  Professors can describe their classes and job opportunities upon graduation. It’s worth noting that the College ranks in the top 110 public colleges nationally in terms of the earning power of its graduates, according to payscale.com.

More than 3,000 prospective students and family members are expected to attend to learn about bachelor degree programs such as aeronautical science, applied economics, applied mathematics, applied psychology, business management, professional communications, dental hygiene, nursing, and more.  The College’s two new programs – Sport Management and Telecommunications – will be highlighted.

Please make a reservation on the college’s website: www.farmingdale.edu and look for Farmingdale State College Open House Reservation.
