Rowland Ramdass Joins Farmingdale State
Nursing Department Welcomes New Assistant Professor
Roland RamdassRowland Ramdass has received an appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nursing at Farmingdale State College. Ramdass is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. This fall, he taught Clinical Pharmacology and Nursing Theory and Practice.
Since 2004, Professor Ramdass has been employed as a nurse practitioner at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he works in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Prior to his appointment at New York Presbyterian, he held Clinical Instructor positions at Farmingdale State and Molloy College, as well as serving as an Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University. He was a Senior Staff Nurse at New York Presbyterian from 1997-2003 and worked for seven years as a Home Care Nurse as an infusion clinician making visits to patients homes all over NYC and Long Island.
Ramdass received a Master of Science in Nursing from Adelphi University in 2003; his area of specialization was Adult Health Nurse Practitioner. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Adelphi. Professor Ramdass is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
