Play to Benefit Farmingdale Student Nurses
Social Security by Plaza Theatrical Productions
The Student Nurses Association of Farmingdale State College will host a professional presentation of Andrew Bergman's comedy Social Security by Plaza Theatrical Productions on Saturday, March 8 at 7:30 p.m. n Roosevelt Hall's Little Theatre. When Sophie, a cantankerous old lady, is unwillingly dumped at the upscale New York apartment of her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and David Kahn, she doesn't take long to make a mess of their perfect home -- and their seemingly perfect lifestyle. Manhattan art gallery owners, Barbara and David Kahn introduce Sophie to suave artist Maurice Koenig, who offers to paint her portrait and soon begins to brighten her life in ways she never expected in her twilight years. According to Plaza Theatrical Productions, "Social security will keep them rolling in the aisles!"
All proceeds will benefit the Student Nurses Association at Farmingdale State . Tickets are $15 each. For information and tickets, please contact Professor Joanne Lapidus-Graham in the Department of Nursing at 631-420-2390.
