Farmingdale State Hosts NLNAC Accreditation Site Review
Public Invited to Share Comments about the College's Nursing Programs
Farmingdale State College has announced that it will host a site review by The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) for continuing accreditation of its Associate Degree Nursing program. The nursing department invites all parties who wish to participate in the process to meet the team and share comments about the program in person at a meeting scheduled for February 6, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in Ward Hall.
The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) is responsible for the specialized accreditation of nursing education programs, both post-secondary and higher degree (Master's Degree, Baccalaureate Degree, Associate Degree, Diploma, and Practical Nursing program). The Commission has authority and accountability for carrying out the responsibilities inherent in the application of standards and criteria, accreditation processes, and the affairs, management, policy-making, and general administration of the NLNAC. NLNAC is a nationally recognized specialized accrediting agency for all types of nursing programs.
Anyone unable to attend the February 6 meeting is invited to send written comments
