Keyla Kirton Joins LIEOC at Farmingdale State College
Keyla Kirton was recently appointed as the Recruitment Specialist for the Long Island Educational Opportunity Center at Farmingdale State College. Fluent in Spanish, Ms. Kirton is a graduate of York College CUNY with a Bachelor degree in English and an emphasis in Journalism . In addition to her communication skills, Ms. Kirton brings years of experience in working with a disadvantaged population .
"There are so many Long Island residents who need our services, but who, unfortunately, do not know about our programs," said Kirton . "I am very proud to join my colleagues to help residents of our surrounding communities take advantage of our academic and vocational services the Educational Opportunity Center has to offer."
Ms. Kirton resides in West Babylon with her husband, Alexander E. Kirton , a music teacher at Meadow Elementary School in the Baldwin School District and their three-year-old daughter Alexandra Rachel.
