Visual Art Students Design Invitation for Heckscher Museum of Art
For the second year, art students at Farmingdale State College again rose to the challenge of designing an invitation for the Annual Young Artists Exhibit at the Heckscher Museum of Art.
The Heckscher Museum's Education Department partnered with Farmingdale State College's Department of Visual Communications in a school-to-work program that challenged students to create an invitation concept reflecting the talents of high school artists. Teams of visual communication students worked together, under the supervision and guidance of Professor Mark Moscarillo and Department Chair Wayne Krush, to present a variety of original and innovative designs. The invitations were reviewed by Heckscher Museum 's Director of Education and Public Programs Joy Weiner and Coordinator of School and Youth Programs Kristina Seekamp .
Dr. W. Hubert Keen congratulates Huntington resident Eulampia Appelbaum, Uniondale resident Shyann Comrie, Bethpage resident Christina Gallagher, and Dix Hills resident Bernadette Puleo for their winning invitation. The design was elegant, sophisticated, and communicated the prestigious nature of the high school exhibit.
According to museum officials, the design teams presented extraordinary creative design concepts.
