Deborah-Ann Nilsen Promoted at Farmingdale State College
Dr. W. Hubert Keen , president of Farmingdale State College, is pleased to announce the appointment of Deborah-Ann Nilsen , as the college's new Assistant Director of Admissions. In this role, she is responsible for application processing and the supervision of professional and classified staff in reference to application processing.
Mrs. Nilsen has served as a member of the Admissions Office since October 1986. A graduate of Farmingdale State College, she earned a BA at the College of St. Catherine and a MS at Dowling College .
Acting Provost Dr. Lucia Cepriano said of Mrs. Nilsen's appointment, "Deborah-Ann Nilsen has a long history of excellent service to the Admissions Office and of dedication to the College. I am confident that she will contribute even more to a successful future at Farmingdale State College in her new role. Please join me in wishing her congratulations on this well-deserved promotion."
Mrs. Nilsen is an active member of her community. For the past year and a half, she has been responsible for scheduling the altar servers in her church, St. John Nepomucene in Bohemia . She served on a committee for the Spring Fair with the Western Suffolk Counselors Association. However, most of her time has been dedicated to serving on numerous Farmingdale State College committees
Mrs. Nilsen lives in Bohemia with her husband Robert Nilsen and their two children, Bobby and Alyson. Robert Nilsen recently retired from the Farmingdale State College University Police.
