"Nothin' New IX" Folk Concert
Now in its 9th season and back by popular demand, "Nothin' New" IX, a benefit folk concert, will be held on Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Roosevelt Hall's Little Theater at Farmingdale State College. Admission is free. Donations are welcomed.
For the ninth consecutive year, dental hygiene Professor Hank Dondero , of Glen Cove, is joined by visual communications Professor Wayne Krush, of Huntington, in this worthwhile event. They will offer their talents on harmonica, guitar and mandolin. The combined musical talents of these two professors produces an evening the entire family will enjoy. Singing along is permitted and encouraged.
Proceeds from refreshments sold at intermission will benefit one of dental hygiene's graduates who has been stricken with brain cancer. This individual is very active in the Dental Hygiene Association and was a member of the Dental ID Team from the World Trade Center Disaster. The concert will feature well known folk classics, including Bob Dylan, Tom Paxton, Woody Guthrie, and Peter Paul and Mary .
All are welcome to join the Farmingdale State College community for any evening of music and camaraderie while helping a fellow Long Islander.
