Nancy Camp Joins Farmingdale State College Faculty

Mr. George P. LaRosa , Officer-in-Charge at Farmingdale State College, welcomes Nancy Camp as an assistant professor in the Nursing department.

Professor Camp, a Mount Sinai resident, joins the Farmingdale faculty with over 25 years experience in nursing. Camp began her career as a cardiac / vascular staff nurse at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia , PA. She transitioned to instructor and administrator when she moved to Wake Medical Center in Raleigh , NC . As a clinical instructor, Ms Camp developed her expertise in neurology, neurosurgery and general surgery.

Camp has since held numerous positions in different hospitals and universities in the field of nursing including: Nursing Coordinator, Director of Education, Adjunct Clinical instructor and Legal nurse consultant.

For the past 7 years, Professor Camp has held positions in both clinical and administrative nursing at Valley Forge Military Academy & College. She started as a Student Health Nurse/Educator teaching tobacco cessation programs, substance awareness and provided direct care to cadets. She was promoted to Substance Awareness Coordinator and finally Director of Health Services.

Professor Camp earned her BSN from North Carolina Central University and her MSN from Villanova University .
