Janet Raman Joins Farmingdale State College Faculty
Mr. George P. LaRosa , Officer-in-Charge at Farmingdale State College, welcomes Janet Raman as an assistant professor in the Nursing department.
Professor Raman, a Glen Oaks resident, has been a nurse with the Mt. Sinai Hospital of Queens for 30 years. She has held numerous positions including: clinical instructor, critical care unit staff nurse, and medical/surgical staff nurse. Raman most recently worked as an emergency department staff nurse. In addition to her clinical experience, she comes to Farmingdale State with 3 years teaching experience as an adjunct professor at Adelphi University .
Ms. Raman earned her BS in Biology from City University of New York- Queens College. She obtained her BS in nursing from Adelphi University and continued there earning her MSN and adult nurse practitioner certificate.
