Dr. Luisa Nappo-Dattoma Joins Farmingdale State College
Mr. George P. LaRosa , Officer-in-Charge at Farmingdale State College, welcomes Dr. Luisa Nappo-Dattoma as an assistant professor in the Department of Dental Hygiene.
A resident of Lynbrook , Dr. Nappo-Dattoma joins the Farmingdale faculty with over 20 years experience as a Dental Hygienist. She has been an adjunct professor teaching both Food and Nutrition and Dental Hygiene classes at Farmingdale for over 20 years. Dr. Nappo-Dattoma will teach courses such as "Nutrition for Oral Health Professionals." In addition, she is the chairperson of Bachelor Degree recruitment committee.
Earning a Doctor of Education from the Teachers College at Columbia University , Dr. Nappo-Dattoma's doctoral dissertation was "An evaluation of Intellectual Development in Collaborative Preclinical Dental Hygiene Education." Dr. Nappo-Dattoma earned a Masters Degree in Nutritional Science from Long Island University , C.W. Post Campus. She earned her BS in Dental Hygiene from Thomas Jefferson University College of Allied Health in Philadelphia , PA.
