RE: VOICE ALERT TRANSLATOR INSTALLED IN PIPER ARROW AND SEMINOLE

Farmingdale State College’s complex fleet (Piper: PA-28R-201 Arrow and PA-44-180 Seminole) are being outfitted with a Voice Alert Translator as a secondary means to warn the pilot of a Stall and Landing Gear being inadvertently up during landing. Currently, N165LH and N146LH are outfitted with the Voice Alert and N147LH and N142LH will be completed no later than March 1st, 2018. The Voice Alert is an electronic device that alerts the pilot directly through the his or her headset.

Please note that the Voice Alert does not replace the primary warning annunciator (stall/gear horn), but is only a secondary warning system.

The FAA Approved Airplane Flight Manual Supplement is included in this FIF. Please review it and become familiar with its content.
