RE: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: PIPER ARROW / SEMINOLE TOUCH-AND-GO PROCEDURE

Our current Aircraft Standardization Manual (Revision 02) for retractable gear aircraft (Arrow, Seminole) requires the landing gear to be raised and lowered with each touch-and-go operation. Effective immediately, aircrafts with a retractable landing gear will require the gear to remain down while conducting touch-and-go operations. The gear is to be raised only at the completion of touch-and-go operations when departing the field.

The landing checklist and GUMP check MUST be completed prior to each landing, and the gear must be confirmed down by BOTH pilots prior to a touch-and-go or full-stop landing regardless of actual gear position.
