RE: SERVICE BULLETIN 1302

The Piper Warriors have an opening (i.e., gap) between the lower surface of the rear seat cushion and the top surface of the wing spar box, and no floor panel(s) or closeout(s) beneath the rear seat. Any foreign object that passes through this opening could restrict the movement of the flight control systems.

The safety intent of this FIF is to minimize the possibility of foreign objects entering into the area below the floor level. All FSC pilots (CFIs and students) must take special care to avoid anything from entering in this gap between the seat and the wing spar box.
