THIS FIF SUPERSEDES THE PREVIOUSLY ISSUED FIF NAMED, “SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE 7 DEVICES,” ISSUED ON OCTOBER 13, 2016.

The Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) have now placed a BAN on ALL Samsung Galaxy Note7 (recalled or replacement) devices from air transportation.

It is now a federal crime to carry the device onboard an aircraft. Any person who fails to comply is subject to civil penalties up to $179,933.00 or imprisonment of up to ten years.

ALL FSC PERSONNEL (students, flight instructors, administration, maintenance, and other personnel) are prohibited from carrying the Samsung Galaxy Note7 onboard a FSC airplane.
