- Medicare: The Official U.S. Government Site for Medicare Information
There are two valuable databases here. Medicare Compare lets users comparison shop
the plans and options of Medicare providers. Nursing Home Compare allows for comparisons
for every Medicare and Medicaid certified nursing home in the country. There are also
many useful informational publications, many of which are also in Spanish and Chinese.

The mission of Nurse Practitioner Support Services is to provide useful information,
in a usable format to nurse practitioners and those interested in nurse practitioners.
Searchable site. Information on salary averages, a place to post your resume, and
a list of jobs (there were few in New York). Great list of journals with webpages

events, lots of links to related resources, information about US, CA and UK Nursing
Boards, nursing education and employment, medical specialties, medical resources (including
medical search tools), medical software downloads and reviews, a discussion board,
and a free electronic newsletter, Nurse-zine, available either by e-mail or on the

- American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
Founded in 1995, their focus is on advocacy for patients and nurse practitioners.
AANP formed in 1985 to promote the high standards of health care delivered by nurse
practitioners. On January 1, 2013, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and
the American College of Nurse Practitioners came together to form the American Association
of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), which is the largest full-service national professional
membership organization for NPs of all specialties.

Contains information about standards, ethics, law, jobs, and more. Links to Online
