Nicosia, Cyprus Summer Semester

Nicosia, capital of Cyprus, combines both old and new in a busy modern commercial and business center and a centuries-old culture. Cyprus was ranked as the safest country in the world for young people (World Health Organisation - WHO, 2017). It hosts 30,000 university students and has an affordable cost of living. It is one of the sunniest countries in Europe, with over 300 days of sunshine annually, 20% of Europe's top beches, 12,000 years of cultural heritage, and is one of the top tourist destinations in the Mediterranean, within easy reach of Europe, Asia and Africa.

University of Nicosia

• The University of Nicosia (UNIC) is the largest university in Cyprus, welcoming 12,000+ students from over 70 countries across the globe.
• UNIC is a comprehensive university with over 100 conventional on-campus and online/distance learning programs of study, with particular strengths in Medicine, Health sciences, Blockchain, Law, Accounting, Architecture, International relations, Computer science and Engineering.
• Classes are taught at the University of Nicosia's main campus in Nicosia. The University of Nicosia is designed on the American semester model and uses US standards for grading, contact hours and credit hours. The majority of University of Nicosia courses, for local or international students, are taught in English. Ipon successful completion of coursework students receive a University of Nicosia transcript.
• All of the classroom buildings in Nicosia were built over the last decade and match modern American facilities in terms of design, comfort and information technology.

Housing

• Each student studying abroad in Cyprus will have their own Single Studio Apartment with private bathroom, kitchen balcony. Also included is access to building amenities (Gym, Game Room, Café/Restaurant/Mini-Market, etc.) - making for a better overall student experience!

  Each studio apartment is fully equipped for in-person and remote learning, and full protocols are in place in the case that students need to self-isolate.
