What's an Inauguration?

An Inauguration is a ceremony in which a person is officially installed as the leader, in this case as college president. It is a ceremony not unlike commencement. It differs because the focus is on the new president rather than on the graduating students.

Every inauguration is different, reflecting the uniqueness of the college and the president. But each inauguration is filled with pageantry as distinguished educators from area colleges process in their colorful regalia.

On Friday, March 31, Dr. John S. Nader will be invested with the rights and responsibilities of the office by the Chairman of the SUNY Board of Trustees.

Keep checking back on this page as new information will be added frequently.

The Inauguration will be preceded by the Annual Alumni Award Dinner the night before, on Thursday, March 30. View details for event.
