We are thrilled to be returning to a high level of on-campus instruction this Fall and look forward to the campus' return. Farmingdale State College has been remarkably successful in dealing with the ongoing public health crisis. Your cooperation will allow us to safely move to a much more normal and extensive campus experience.
The College is requiring that all students, faculty, and staff wear face coverings at all times within indoor settings when on campus.
Face coverings include but are not limited to, cloth (e.g. homemade sewn, quick cut, bandana), surgical masks, N-95 respirators, and face shields used in conjunction with an acceptable face covering that covers both the nose and mouth – standard face shields should NOT be used alone.
Fully vaccinated Students, Faculty, and Staff are exempt from weekly testing once they have provided their COVID vaccination documentation. Faculty are to upload their proof of vaccination to the Employee Upload Form.
Fully vaccinated individuals are not required to adhere to social distancing protocols, however we encourage all campus constituents to continue to do so when possible and to respect others comfort level in regards to distancing. Distancing is not required within educational settings as long as all individuals wear face coverings.
Feeling Ill & COVID Positive
Employees are required to complete the self-reporting form.
Human Resources will contact the employee to determine if contact tracing is required. Only those individuals who have been identified as potentially being exposed will be notified. Due to federal HIPPA laws, the identity of those who are diagnosed with COVID-19 cannot be disclosed and the College is limited in the amount of information it can make public in such situations.
Vaccine & Waiver
Faculty & Staff should upload their proof of vaccination to the Employee Upload Form External link to be exempt from weekly testing and the daily screening tool.
Vaccinated individuals are not required to quarantine if exposed to COVID-19. Should an individual begin to experience symptoms consistent with COVID-19, they should remain home and contact their primary healthcare provider for guidance. Employees should submit this information to Human Resources using the self-reporting form.
Student COVID Sanctions
Farmingdale State College (FSC) remains committed to ensuring a healthy campus environment for all members of its community. Pursuant to guidance issued by the State University of New York (SUNY) Chancellor’s Office, the Office of the Dean of Students intends to address COVID-19 related behaviors that threaten or endanger the health and safety of others. FSC has developed modified disciplinary guidance for all students.
In-person meetings are permitted, however we strongly encourage the continued use of virtual meetings (e.g. Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc.) where possible and practical. If in-person meetings are necessary, all physical distancing and face-covering requirements must be followed.
