Status of Classes: Spring 2021

The spring course schedule was constructed out of an abundance of caution related to the safety of our faculty and students in accordance with New York State Department of Health standards. Where necessary in-person instruction is provided to ensure that students meet the learning requirements for the course. Courses that can effectively be offered in a remote or virtual environment were assigned this type of instructional mode. All of our faculty and staff are committed to providing the highest quality learning experience for our students during the Spring 2021 semester.

Summer Classes will be conducted in these formats: in-person, online, and hybrid. For your reference, the list below defines the instructional methods to be used during the spring term. In OASIS External link you can find this information by course under the headings indicating SCHEDULE TYPES, for example: Schedule - Week by Week, Student Detail Schedule, or Concise Student Schedule.

  • Specialized courses with descriptions such as flight, off-campus, internship, and independent study also have no special designation in OASIS.
  • Distance Learning courses are traditional online courses offered 100% asynchronously. These courses are coded as ONLINE under the room assignment in OASIS and the class schedule External link.
  • On-Campus courses will meet during scheduled days and times on campus and have no specialized designation in OASIS. They will require the following of strict physical distancing guidelines.
  • Hybrid courses students are assigned days to attend in-person sessions while maintaining physical distancing. On days where students are not assigned to the in-person sessions, remote learning is expected to take place. These courses are coded with classroom locations and ONLINE.

Should you have any questions regarding your courses, or need to know the latest hours and information, please reach out to the Office of the Registrar at regoffice@farmingdale.edu or 934-420-2776
