Anjana Mebane-Cruz is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Farmingdale State College, SUNY. Her scholarly concentrations are in the Caribbean and among Native American peoples, centering on issues of identity, history and memory. She is a senior scholar with Islands of Change, an international research project in the Caribbean and North Sea. Her most recent publications include: "The Caves of Barbuda's Eastern Coast: Long Term Occupation, Ethnohistory and Ritual" in the Caribbean Connections Journal of the Field Research Centre, Nelson's Dockyard Museum, English Harbor, Antigua, Volume III, Issue 1 March 2013.
