The Long Island Sustainability Series (LIS2) is an educational series hosted by Farmingdale State College (FSC) in partnership with Suffolk Community College (SCCC). The series is focused on pollution prevention (P2) and how Long Island residents can reduce their environmental impact. It is a mixture of lecture-style presentations by local experts and activity-based events, such as beach clean-ups and DIY green cleaning products.
The sixth event of the series will focus on Environmental Advocacy: How You Can Act and will feature a presentation from Adrienne Esposito, Executive Director for the Citizens Campaign for the Environment.
