Then join FSC's Office for Sustainability in celebrating Earth Week! These campus activities will get you outdoors, appreciating the environment and learning how to become more sustainable. Sustainability is a top priority for FSC - and Earth Week is our time to shine green! Join us in our week-long celebration. All are welcome.

- “Caught Green Handed” Social Media Competition
Sponsored by the Office for Sustainability and Office of Student Activities
Snap some pictures of you being "green" and post on your social media accounts and tag the Office for Sustainability's instagram to be entered into a raffle for FREE sustainability swag packs!
- What does being "green" entail? Any environmentally friendly activity!
- Examples include: using any of the campus hydration stations with your reusable water
bottle, composting, recycling, riding your bike, using public transportation, using
reusable bags at the store, gardening, planting, using a reusable straw, or driving
an electric vehicle! You can get creative, too!

Earth Week Events for Monday, April 22
- 9am-11am: Earth Week Kick-Off Event
Sponsored by the Office for Sustainability
Stop by the CC vestibule with your reusable coffee mug/tumbler and enjoy FREE coffee or tea! We will be sharing all of the exciting events for the upcoming week.
Earth themed donuts will be available for all to enjoy.
- 11am-12pm: DIY Environmentally Friendly Cleaning Products
Sponsored by the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute
This event will focus on avoiding toxins in cleaning products and how you can create your own "green" cleaning supplies right at home. The event
will be led by FSC campus Sustainability Manager, Maia Roseval in the University Club,
Knapp Hall. All supplies will be provided.
- 3pm-5pm: DIY Flower Bouquets
Sponsored by the Office of Student Activities
Come build your own flower bouquets in celebration of Earth Day! Enjoy some fresh air out in the CC amphitheater and
create your own flower bouquet. All supplies will be provided.
Earth Week Events for Tuesday, April 23
- 11am-1pm: Earth Day Celebration
Sponsored by the Office for Sustainability and Office of Student Activities
Stop by the CC lawn and celebrate the earth, hang with Rambo, and have some fun! The
first 200 students will receive a free reusable straw courtesy of OSA. Event includes:
- Petting Zoo (with live animals!)
- Vegan Food Truck
- Lawn Games
- Sustainable T-shirt Tie-die Station (featuring only green and blue colors)
- Clothing Swap
- Music
Earth Week Events for Wednesday, April 24
- 11am-1pm: "Weight the Waste" Table in POPs
Sponsored by the Office for Sustainability
Come learn about composting! The Office for Sustainability will be hosting a table
with compost bins in POPs for users to dispose their food waste into. At the end of
the event, we will "weight the waste" and record how much organic waste we can keep
out of the landfill through composting.
- 5pm-6pm: Mocktail Paint 'n Sip Event: Reusable Totes

Come celebrate Earth Week with FSC's Office for Sustainability and paint some reusable

Earth Week Events for Thursday, April 25
- 9am-12pm: Tree Planting Event
Sponsored by the Student Government Association and Office for Sustainability
Join FSC's Student Government Association and Office for Sustainability for a tree planting event in honor of Earth Day. Numerous trees will be planted across campus. We will meet
outside the front doors of Greenley Library (facing Whitman/Knapp Halls) at 9am on
April 25th. All supplies will be provided.
- 11:30am-1:30pm: Outdoor fitness classes

These high intensity interval sessions are a challenging full-body workout that will
have you burning calories and getting fit! This well rounded conditioning program
will get you moving and energized to take on the day. Great for all levels of fitness. Enjoy this special class on the Campus Center Lawn starting at 11:30am.
- 1pm-2pm: Clean-Up Hike at Bethpage State Park
Join us as one of FSC's alum takes us on a clean-up hike through Bethpage State Park! We will be meeting at the Bethpage Bike Parking Lot
(near the playgrounds). Transportation will not be provided by FSC.
Earth Week Events for Friday, April 26
- 2pm-4pm: Giving Garden Volunteer Event
Farmingdale State College's Giving Garden needs your help! At our Earth Week volunteer event, we will be planting various fruits, vegetables,
and flowers in the garden beds. We will also continue our work pulling weeds, prepping
the soil, planting new seeds, and pruning the surrounding areas. Come learn how to
grow your own food, meet likeminded people, and enjoy some fresh air. All are welcome.
