Framing DEISJ Courses for Students

This workshop is designed for faculty who have taught or plan to teach DEISJ or *D designated courses. We will share best practices for framing the purpose of DEISJ courses for students in order to manage potential pushback on more challenging topics. We will also discuss community-building strategies for DEISJ courses, such as engaging icebreakers, pedagogy of care reflections, and how to utilize Brightspace for community building in online courses.
