Virtual 2021 SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC)

Beginning with the Fall 2019 semester, all incoming students will be required to complete 10 hours of Applied Learning (AL) to graduate. Students who participate in the SUNY UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH CONFERENCE (SURC) may be eligible to earn 5 credit hours toward the Applied Learning Graduation Requirement through the Nexus Center. Interested students should contact Inesa Mott before participating at Email. Funding may be available to cover registration fees.

The seventh annual SURC in 2021 will be held online as a 'virtual' conference hosted by SUNY Old Westbury on Friday, April 16.

The SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) is a multidisciplinary spring semester event. SURC brings together undergraduate students and faculty mentors from across the SUNY system for a full day of activities. With the assistance of the SUNY Center for Professional Development, 'OnAir' virtual conference software will be used to replicate all the interactive features of a traditional face-to-face conference.  Both synchronous and asynchronous sessions will be hosted and devoted to student presentations (orals, performances, artistic displays, and posters), keynote speakers, a SUNY Graduate School and Career Fair, and professional development workshops for students and faculty.

All undergraduate students engaged in research and their mentors across SUNY are invited to attend. Registration and presentation slots will be limited.  Preference will be given in the order of registration and/or submission.  For questions and comments about SURC, please contact SURC@SUNY.edu
