Arianna Rivera, FSC Student & 2024 President DEI Award Recipient
Congratulations!
Arianna Rivera is a standout senior at Farmingdale State College, pursuing a Business major
with a minor in Legal Studies. Known for her leadership and passion for student advocacy,
she
serves as Vice President of the Latin American Student Organization, Treasurer of
the Student
Government Association, and Secretary of the Disability Coalition Club. Arianna is
also a
dedicated TRIO student, mentoring her peers through the TRIO Support Squad. Since
her
freshman year, she’s been a key part of the campus tutoring center, where she currently
works
as an office assistant.
Additionally, she was a member of the First-Gen Planning Committee and served on the
Chancellor's Award for Professional Service Committee. Arianna has participated in
the
Summer Undergraduate Research Institute (SURI) twice through the RAM Program, where
her
first project focused on identity and attitudes towards police, and her second examined
the
SUNY system and its impacts on ELL (English Language Learner) students. This summer,
she
interned with the Suffolk County Women’s Business Enterprise Coalition (SCWBEC) as
an
administrative assistant. Her dynamic contributions reflect a strong commitment to
fostering
community, empowerment, and inclusion on campus
