The Farmingdale State College Rideshare Portal service helps the campus community find carpools, vanpools, bicycle buddies and alternative transit options. On the portal, you can quickly create a profile and find members of the campus community who have similar travel routes and patterns and with whom you can share a ride. The system also lets you easily send potential rideshare partners an email or give them a call. Your profile preferences will determine what information is shared with potential rideshare partners. Car Free Day is an international event celebrated every September in which people
are encouraged to get around without cars and instead ride a train, bus, bicycle,
carpool, subway or walk. This year, Long Island will once again join in by celebrating
its 6th Annual Car Free Day on Friday, September 21, 2018. For more information, click

There is parking located on campus. All vehicles parked on campus must display a valid Farmingdale State College parking decal. Visitors can obtain free one-day parking passes at University Police before parking. For more information about parking, visit the Parking and Traffic.
The Ram Rewards discount program will offer Farmingdale State College faculty, staff, students, and alumni a 10% discount at participating businesses throughout the Melville/Farmingdale area. Participating vendors will receive a cling-on patch to display prominently in their window and will be advertised on a list of participating vendors all around campus. Farmingdale State College is now offering the RAM Shuttle for the FSC community. This courtesy shuttle starts the first day of classes and continues through finals. The shuttle is wheelchair accessible and will pick up all riders at the front of Laffin Hall and take them to the LIRR station in the Village of Farmingdale and to the Aviation Center. The shuttle will also pick up those members of the FSC community traveling to the LIRR station and bring them to campus and the Aviation Center. The shuttle is open to all students, faculty, staff and alumni Mondays through Friday. For more information, visit www.farmingdale.edu/shuttle
If the campus is closed or classes are canceled, the shuttle will not operate. In the event of unusual circumstances or extreme weather, please call 631-420-2103 to check on the status of the shuttle.
