A Message from the President
On behalf of the Farmingdale State College faculty, staff and members of the College Council, I congratulate you on attaining this great milestone in your education. We are proud of your accomplishments and join your family and friends in celebration of your success.
You are graduating from a college with a rich history, having been founded in 1912. Farmingdale is Long Island's oldest public college and has successfully adapted over the decades to the changing social and economic climate of Long Island. Today it is a thriving college of applied science and technology with a legacy of excellence that will accompany you into a bright future. We are proud of our over 92,000 graduates who have excelled in many facets of business, industry and civic life.
The attributes our faculty and staff strive to inculcate in all of our students — communication skills, modern technological expertise, and a strong liberal arts foundation — prepare you to succeed in your personal and professional lives. We know that you have mastered your discipline and go forth with pride. Our hearts go with you.
