Mathematics Learning Center

The Mathematics Learning Center (Whitman 181) provides assistance for Farmingdale students who are experiencing difficulties in mathematics courses or in the math required for other disciplines. Tutoring is available on a walk-in basis, at no charge. Minitab, Matlab, and Maple have been installed on the computers. Hours vary for Fall, Spring, and Summer A & B semesters. The Center is open for additional hours for final exams.

The Math Center is continuing to operate remotely during Fall 2020. To request help, please:

Send an e-mail to mathcenter@farmingdale.edu using your Farmingdale e-mail address.

Include:

your name and RAM number

the course name and number

your instructor's name

Math Center e-mail will be monitored during the following hours:

Mon 11:30 am to 5 pm

Tues 10 am to 4 pm

Wed 10 am to noon and 1 pm to 4 pm

Thurs 11:30 am to 4 pm and 5 pm to 7 pm

Fri 10 am to noon

Actual tutoring hours will be scheduled by the tutor for the convenience of both the tutor and the student. Requests for a specific tutor cannot be granted. Your cooperation will enable us to provide assistance to all Farmingdale students.
