International Energy & Sustainability Conference 2017

October 19 & 20, 2017

Join the Renewable Energy and Sustainability Center (RESC) at Farmingdale State College for its sixth annual International Energy & Sustainability Conference (IESC 2017). The theme for this year will be Offshore Wind and Geothermal. In this conference, SolarSuperState, a non-profit organization with headquarters in Thayngen, Switzerland, will announce awards for the top ranking countries producing Wind and Solar Energy.

 Why should I attend?

Join industry leaders in learning and discussing how these issues will shape the future of our planet. The IESC 2017 will provide a great opportunity to gain an up-to-date perspective on renewables, including emerging technologies and how they will affect the industry, policy developments, programs and incentives.

  • Are we prepared to face the challenges ahead of finding and integrating sustainable alternative energy sources in a world with diminishing resources, while maintaining and ensuring our energy security?
  • What effect will upgrade to the grid have on energy efficiency, distributed generation of alternative energy sources, sustainability, green building practices, and green data centers?

The policy for PDHs
Farmingdale State College is ABET accredited and is recognized by NYSED for the issuance of PDH credit for professional engineers and architects. PDH are equal to the total hours attended for the course. Presenters will be eligible for PDH toward presentation time plus preparation time. The ratio is 1 part presentation to 2 parts preparation.

Professionals wanting to receive PDHs must sign-in and sign-out for proof of attendance during the scheduled class. Attendees must keep certification letters for six years and be able to produce the letter if asked during an NYSED licensee audit.

*Please indicate that you are interested in receiving PDHs when registering.
