Thursday, September 17, 2009. What a beautiful late summer evening for a Ducks game at Citibank Park in Central Islip. The Ducks were hosting the Camden Riversharks, and there was excitement in the air. As we greeted our group, distributing their tickets to the game, we were met by many other attendees with Farmingdale affiliations. We meet our alumni everywhere it seems! We were soon joined by college mascot, RAMBO, who delighted the crowd with his antics and interactions with Quackerjack, the Duck’s mascot.
This is an enjoyable, family-oriented event that never fails to amuse and delight everyone in attendance, especially when the Ducks win, which they did. The final score was 5 to 4, and the crowd was ecstatic!
Thanks to our Alumni Association Board, alumni, friends and families who joined us to celebrate and support our local baseball team. Special thanks to Brian Maher, Director of EOC, who generously invited our board to join him in one of the boxes at the stadium. What a vantage point to see the game. We will surely keep this tradition going when we know the schedule for next season.
Enjoy the pictures from the event, and we hope to have you join us next time!
