The Farmingdale College Foundation celebrated its 2007 Business
Hall of Fame Gala by honoring Sal Ferro, President of Alure
Home Improvements, on November 8 at Oheka Castle in Huntington.
Alure Home Improvements is
one of the largest remodeling firms in the region, and has
participated in six home remodels on the "Extreme Home Makeover" show on
ABC Television. Sal Ferro, a member of the Class of 1985,
was recently named "National
Remodeler of the Year" by Professional Remodeler Magazine.
The Gala, the Farmingdale Foundation's major fundraiser of
the year, raised over $250,000 for student scholarships and
other academic needs not provided for by the State education
budget.
