International Energy and Sustainability Conference

The Renewable Energy and Sustainability Center at Farmingdale State College is holding its Sixth Annual International Energy & Sustainability Conference October 19 and 20. The theme for this year's event is "Offshore Wind and Geothermal Energy."
The October 20 meeting will be held from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Campus Center Ballroom. On the 19th at 5:30 p.m., the C3E Network for Women's Leadership in Clean Energy will host a networking event highlighting the contributions of women in the energy industry.
Energy industry leaders will discuss how issues will shape the future of the planet. The Conference will provide an opportunity to gain an up-to-date perspective on renewables, including emerging technologies and how they will affect industry, policy developments, programs and incentives.
Among the topics to be covered include Renewable Energy, Alternative Fuel Vehicles, Sustainability Gardens, Smart Grid, Energy Storage and more.

SolarSuperState, a non-profit organization with headquarters in Thayngen, Switzerland, will present awards to the top-ranking countries producing Wind and Solar Energy.
