Patti Contamessa Joins Farmingdale State
Nursing Department Welcomes New Assistant Professor
Patti Cantamessa Patti Cantamessa, MSN, RN, has joined the College as an assistant professor in the nursing department. Her research interests are in the utilization of technology in nursing education.
A resident of St. James, Cantamessa received her MSN degree in the Contemporary Nursing Faculty program in 2008 from Drexel University. She is a member of the National League for Nursing and Professional Nurses Association of Suffolk County. In addition to her MSN, she holds a BS in nursing from Stony Brook University and an AS in nursing from Nassau Community College.
Established in the 1960's, Farmingdale State's nursing school enrolls more than 350 students. The school offers a Bachelor of Science Nursing program, an Associate in Science Nursing program and a Practical Nursing program. In addition, the school offers an advanced accelerated program for LPNs to become RNs.
