Ahmad Al-Daraisch Joins Farmingdale State

Electrical Engineering Technology Department Welcomes New Assistant Professor

Dr. Ahmad A. Al-Daraiseh has joined the College as an assistant professor in the electrical engineering technology department. Dr. Al-Daraiseh’s expertise is in computer engineering and software engineering.

A Farmingdale resident, Al-Daraiseh received his PhD in 2006 from the University of Central Florida in computer engineering and software engineering. In addition to his PhD, he holds an MS in computer engineering and software engineering from University of Central Florida, and a BS in electrical engineering from Yarmouk University, in Jordan.

Farmingdale State’s electrical engineering technology department is part of the School of Engineering Technology, which enrolls nearly 1,000 students. The department offers a Bachelor of Science program designed to meet the transfer and continuing education needs of students with Associate Degrees in electrical engineering technology or related disciplines.
