DOLORES CIACCIO PROMOTED TO ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT CENTER
Ciaccio will supervise new career resource center
Dolores Ciaccio of Patchogue has been promoted to Associate Director of the Career Development Center at Farmingdale State College.
In addition to her current responsibilities in the CDC in Laffin Hall, Ciaccio will now also supervise the upcoming Career Resource Center in the centrally-located Student Success Center in Greenley Hall. The newly established Career Resource Center will provide students with additional up-to-date technology "tools" to use in identifying their career goals and maximizing their career search. Ciaccio will also provide career workshops in the Resource Center and will oversee an area devoted to providing information to students on available part-time jobs.
Ciaccio holds an MA in Education from Adelphi University , an MBA in Management from Dowling College , and a Professional Certificate in Adult Career and Life Planning from NYU. She also holds the Master Certification in the administration of the MBTI - a career assessment widely used by career professionals, human resource managers, social workers, psychologists and others in helping professions.
A sought after-presenter on career issues, Ciaccio has given workshops, panel discussions and seminars at the Long Island Counselors Annual Conference, the Western Suffolk Counselors Association annual Spring Conference and the New York Counseling Association Conference. She is a past president of the Western Suffolk Counselors Association and has acted as a career consultant at the Women for Hire Job Fairs and at the Image Circle in New York City .
