On Friday, March 2, 2007, Business/Management of Technology and Computer Systems students gathered with their families, friends and professors in Farmingdale State College's Little Theater for the Sigma Beta Delta Induction Ceremony. Sigma Beta Delta is an international honor society recognizing and promoting achievement in business, management and administration.

Master of Ceremonies Dr. Dan Marrone , professor of business, oversaw the event at which sixty-three students were inducted. Dr. W. Hubert Keen , president of Farmingdale State College, welcomed students and their families. Professor Henry "Hank" Bojack , Acting Chair of the Department of Business/Management of Technology, was inducted as an honorary member.

Mr. John Thomas Gwynne , USAF (Capt., Ret.), Director of Programs at the Cradle of Aviation Museum, gave a presentation he titled, "Role of Long Island in NASA's Lunar Space Program."

Sigma Beta Delta is Farmingdale State College's first four-year honor society. The Farmingdale State College chapter received its charter in 1999. To be eligible, junior or senior students must earn a grade point average in the top 20% in either the Management of Technology or in Computer Systems bachelor degrees.
